[.LB] Privacy Pact & No Warranty Disclaimer

To be entitled to apply for a XXX.LB domain name, the beneficiary entity should demonstrate official Lebanese status and should own the rights to the trademark/tradename in Lebanon under class 35. We will refer to the domain name beneficiary entity as DOMAIN-BENEFICIARY.

Collected Information: The Lebanese Domain Registry collect three types of information:

1.              1          Documentation to prove the official status and official representation of the DOMAIN-BENEFICIARY such as commercial registry, commercial circular, organization license, education organization license, power of attorney, commercial representation, trademark certificate, trademark deposit, delegation instructions, etc.

2.              2          Personal information that a requester voluntarily submits to us such as copy of ID card and contact data.

3.              3          Technical domain name related information such as name servers details, subdomain and subnets details.

Privacy Pact: The Lebanese Domain Registry uses the collected Personal and Corporate Information for the purpose of domain name registration only.  The Lebanese Domain Registry disseminates domain name information publicly via LDAP search engines only and solely for domain resolution technical endeavors.

If we intend to use your Personal Information beyond the purpose for which you give it to us, we will first provide you with the ability to opt-out of such use.

The Lebanese Domain Registry operates under the Lebanese legal framework and will release copies of documents in its possession based on a Lebanese court order or ruling.

No Warranty: Any material furnished by Lebanese Domain Registry is furnished on an "as is" basis. AUB and the LBDR make no warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied as to any matter including, but not limited to, warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability, exclusivity or results obtained from use of the material. AUB and the LBDR do not make any warranty of any kind with respect to freedom from patent, trademark, or copyright infringement.

Security: The Lebanese Domain Registry uses industry-standard security technologies to store and safeguard information from unauthorized access.  Only authorized personnel have access to the collected information.  Despite our best efforts, however, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure. Therefore, you provide us with your information at your own risk.
